Task Tally is an app for timing household chores, shared within a household. This page explains which data we process, why, and what your rights are.
Who is responsible?
Task Tally is published by Dario Vujica, in Lausanne (Switzerland), who is the controller of the data described here. Contact: contact@tasktally.casa.
Which data?
- Account: email address and password (stored in encrypted form by our authentication service).
- Profile: display name, language; optional: gender, date of birth, photo.
- Household: household name, optional image, list of members and their role.
- Activity: the tasks you time (task, start and end time, pauses, duration), your custom tasks and their order.
- Device: a notification token and the platform (Android, web), to send you reminders.
- Subscription (if offered): the household's plan and its dates. Payment is handled by the app store: we receive neither your card nor your payment details.
We show no advertising and use no analytics or ad-tracking tools.
Why?
- to provide the app: sign you in, time tasks, share activity with your household;
- to send you useful notifications (forgotten timer, automatic stop);
- to manage the household's subscription;
- to protect the service (security, abuse prevention).
Legal bases: performing the service you ask for, our legitimate interest in securing it, and your consent for notifications (which you can refuse in your phone settings).
Who sees what?
Members of your household see your name, photo and activity (tasks, durations). Nobody else has access. We do not sell data.
Technical providers
- Supabase: database, authentication and image storage;
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: sending notifications on Android;
- Cloudflare: hosting of the website and web app;
- the app store and its subscription service, if a paid plan is offered.
Where is the data stored?
The database, authentication and images are hosted in Germany (European Union) by Supabase. Notifications (Google) and website hosting (Cloudflare) may involve processing outside Switzerland and the European Union; these providers apply appropriate safeguards (for example standard contractual clauses).
For how long?
As long as your account exists. When you delete it, your account, profile and history are erased (see Account deletion).
Your rights
You can access your data, correct it (profile in the app), have it deleted, ask for a copy or object to processing: write to contact@tasktally.casa. You may also contact a data protection authority (in Switzerland, the FDPIC; in the European Union, the authority of your country).
Security
Communications are encrypted (HTTPS) and access to data is restricted per account and per household at database level.
Children
Task Tally is not intended for children under 13 without a parent's consent.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
